Physical Therapist
I am from Republic, Missouri. I played college basketball at Southwest Baptist University, where I studied athletic training. I followed my studies to graduate school at SBU for a Doctor of Physical Therapy. My husband and I own a gym in Springfield, MO, where we coach, train, and rehab barbell athletes.
I previously worked for CoxHealth for almost 7 years. I worked in the schools as an athletic trainer as well as at CoxHealth Monett and CoxHealth Republic as a physical therapist and team lead. I have also worked as a sports nutritionist and continue to coach and train with my weightlifting athletes.
My core values are hard work, consistency, and integrity. I believe you can achieve anything and be the best for others with these values.
“Don’t follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you.” – Margret Thatcher
I specialize in sports performance and weight room technique. My background is in weightlifting and various sports, but I also love to work with patients who have vertigo and Parkinson’s.
I always want to instill confidence in my patients to go back to the activities that they love. The majority of the time, it is encouraging my patients to get their confidence back even though the injury has healed.
Conditions I enjoy treating are vertigo and other neurological deficits, sports injuries related to hip, foot, ankle, and shoulder or upper back.
I like working here because of the atmosphere! It’s so inviting and fun!

Patient Testimonials
“I met with Alex to get some suggestions for rehab exercises I could do for my right shoulder that I have been having problems with when driving or typing. It’s been several weeks, but I am having significantly less pain with my right shoulder now when doing these activities.”
“I was suffering from crippling right hip pain for over a year. My daily exercise routine was excruciating, and I could not sleep in one position for over an hour. My life had been reduced to working around the pain and praying for sleep. I had been to several massage therapists, an orthopedic surgeon, three chiropractors, and an acupuncturist, all of whom gave me temporary relief for a day or two. Alex had me pain-free within 6 weeks. Weekly hour-long sessions and daily self-guided exercise/strengthening had me back to running and doing all the things I was doing before. I will be referring all those in need to Alex.”
“Though I have limited experience with physical therapy, Alex has been great to work with! She has been thorough and determined to get my issues resolved. I’m feeling better every day. Thanks Alex!”
